Objective

Draft the initial README.md for the wardrobe-ai repo. This should be a comprehensive project overview that anyone (investor, developer, partner) can read and understand what we're building.

README Sections

1. Project Overview

  • What is WardrobeAI?
  • The problem we're solving
  • Our approach (small business sourcing, budget-based, feedback learning)

2. Market Opportunity

  • $7B fashion subscription market
  • Growing at 6.1% CAGR
  • Underserved niche: boutique/small business curation with budget caps

3. Product

  • Three tiers: Essential ($100), Signature ($250), Custom
  • Style interview (not a quiz)
  • Fit feedback loop
  • Invariants/constraints system
  • AI design-on-demand (Phase 3)

4. Competitive Differentiation

  • Small business first (vs. Stitch Fix mass market)
  • Budget-based (vs. per-item pricing)
  • Conversational interview (vs. multiple choice quiz)
  • Structured feedback that learns (vs. style shuffle that doesn't)
  • AI custom design (no one else offers this)

5. Tech Stack

  • Next.js frontend, Node.js/Python backend
  • PostgreSQL + Redis
  • Stripe billing
  • AI: Python ML service + LLM integration

6. Repository Structure
