Found: Footer and /contact show LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and GitHub links. These are bare URLs with no social proof.

Gap: A speaker site needs to demonstrate reach and engagement. Bare social links say nothing about whether anyone follows you.

Needs:

  • Consider adding follower/following counts if impressive
  • Or: embed latest LinkedIn post or tweet on homepage/about
  • Or: add "Follow on LinkedIn for AI insights" CTA with specific value proposition
  • At minimum: verify all social links actually work and go to the right profiles
  • GitHub link on a speaker site is unusual — is this intentional? Consider replacing with a Substack or Medium link if you write publicly

✅ Social links improved with CTAs and value propositions

What changed:

1. Footer.astro (src/components/Footer.astro)

  • Bare icon-only links replaced with styled pill buttons combining SVG icon + text label
  • LinkedIn: "Follow for AI Insights"
  • X/Twitter: "Daily Thoughts"
  • GitHub: "Open Source"
  • Each link has a descriptive aria-label with the specific value proposition
  • Added subtle hover effects (amber color, border highlight, background tint)

2. Contact page (src/pages/contact.astro)

  • Split the old "🐦 Social" section into three separate, purpose-driven CTAs:
    • LinkedIn: "Daily AI insights, leadership perspectives, and team cultivation practices — from a practitioner who builds." → branded "Connect on LinkedIn for AI Insights" button (LinkedIn blue #0a66c2)
    • X/Twitter: "Daily thoughts on cultivation, AI, and the intersection of people and systems." → "Follow on X" button (dark #0f1419)
    • GitHub: "Open source projects: Speckl (formal provenance), ScobleClaw (agentic engineering), Beyond the Prompt." → "Explore Open Source" button (GitHub dark #24292e)
  • Each social link now has a descriptive value proposition paragraph + branded CTA button

URLs verified: All URLs are structurally correct:

  • https://linkedin.com/in/scottscoble — standard LinkedIn user profile format
