Closes#11816.
## Problem
`ctx.ui.custom()` accepted `blocked` only for inline components.
Overlays ignored it, so an extension question shown as an overlay left
pi reporting `working` over OSC 7501. Example: pi-ask-user in its
default overlay mode inside Herdr App never shows the session as blocked
and never notifies.
## Change
- Each overlay opened with `blocked` registers its own program status
source (`extension-overlay:N`) after `showOverlay()` and clears it when
the overlay calls `done()`.
- The status stays while the overlay is hidden with `setHidden()` or
covered by another overlay: the question is still unanswered.
- Separate sources per overlay, so closing one keeps other open
questions, dialogs and login prompts blocked. With several blocking
prompts, the most recently shown one supplies `kind` and `message`.
- Overlays without `blocked` (loaders etc.) register nothing and cannot
clear another overlay's status.
- `/reload` and session switches drop overlays without calling `done()`;
`resetExtensionUI()` now clears their blocked status so pi does not stay
blocked.
- Inline components are unchanged: they report the dialog shown in the
editor slot, so a non-blocking component shown in its place clears the
status until it closes.
- Docs (`docs/tui.md`, `custom()` JSDoc) and changelog updated.
## Testing
- `npm run check`
- `test/interactive-mode-extension-dialogs.test.ts`: new regression test
(two blocking overlays, one non-blocking overlay, hide, close in order)
and one for clearing the status on reset.
pi-ask-user still needs to pass `blocked` for its overlay prompts.
Inline `ctx.ui.custom()` components never report pi as blocked through
OSC 7501 program status. This is on purpose, because the same API hosts
loaders. As a result, a custom dialog that waits for the user (an
approval prompt, the `question.ts` example) shows up as `working`, and
the terminal cannot tell that pi needs input.
The extension dialog stack already stores a blocked status for each
dialog and reports the visible one. This change adds an optional
`blocked` option to `ctx.ui.custom()`:
```ts
ctx.ui.custom(factory, { blocked: { kind: "question", message: "Pick a color" } });
```
The inline branch of `showExtensionCustom()` passes it to
`pushExtensionDialog()`. Components without the option behave as before.
Overlays ignore the option because they are not part of the dialog
stack. `docs/tui.md` documents the option.
Testing:
- Added a test to `test/interactive-mode-extension-dialogs.test.ts`:
- A custom component that opts in reports `blocked`.
- A plain custom component stacked on top of it clears the blocked
status.
- Closing the plain component restores the blocked status.
- Closing the opted-in component clears it.
- The test fails without the change to `interactive-mode.ts` and passes
with it.
- `npm run check`: biome and lint pass, and there are no type errors in
coding-agent. The only errors are existing type errors in
`packages/ai/test` from locally generated model data. They are not
related to this change.

Editor and Input wrap their drawn cursor in fake cursor markers. The TUI
resolves them to reverse video, or drops the focused one when the hardware
cursor is shown, so terminals that extend edge cell colors into the window
padding no longer stretch the drawn cursor at the first or last column.
Also keep CURSOR_MARKER when an overlay ends directly left of the cursor.
Expose theme colors as values and add theme.style() for combined styling.
- @earendil-works/pi-tui gains a Color type (palette index, sRGB, OKLCH) with parseColor(), mixColors(), colorToHex(), colorToRgb(), styleText() and related helpers.
- Theme JSON accepts #rgb and oklch(...) values and an optional appearance ("dark" or "light"), detected from the theme colors when omitted.
- theme.style() combines tokens or concrete colors with text attributes; theme.colors exposes concrete colors, including the terminal's reported default colors (OSC 10/11) for tokens set to "".
- Terminals with TERM=*-direct are detected as truecolor.
Warp supports the Kitty graphics protocol and OSC 8 hyperlinks,
but pi's terminal-image capability detection did not recognize it.
Add detection via TERM_PROGRAM=WarpTerminal, WARP_SESSION_ID,
and WARP_TERMINAL_SESSION_UUID so images render inline without
requiring the TERM_PROGRAM=kitty workaround.
Fixes#5827
Appended lines were not committed to terminal scrollback because the
renderer used cursor movement (CSI B) and carriage return without
linefeed. This caused earlier content to be overwritten when the
viewport filled up.
Changes:
- For appended lines, emit \r\n to create real scrollback lines
- When target row is below viewport, scroll with \r\n before positioning
- Add PI_TUI_WRITE_LOG env var for debugging raw ANSI output
- Add fullRedraws readonly property to TUI class
- Add viewport-overwrite-repro.ts test script
fixes#954
Container components with embedded Input/Editor children must implement
Focusable and propagate focus state to enable correct IME candidate
window positioning.
Related to #827
- Add Focusable interface for components that need hardware cursor positioning
- Add CURSOR_MARKER (APC escape sequence) for marking cursor position in render output
- Editor and Input components implement Focusable and emit marker when focused
- TUI extracts cursor position from rendered output and positions hardware cursor
- Track hardwareCursorRow separately from cursorRow for differential rendering
- visibleWidth() and extractAnsiCode() now handle APC sequences
- Update overlay-test.ts example to demonstrate Focusable usage
- Add documentation for Focusable interface in docs/tui.md

remain computable via ctx.sessionManager and ctx.model.
