Decision

  • Hosting: Storj (self-hosted static site, keeps infra in-house alongside Speckl/MeOS)
  • Domain: scott.scoble.me (subdomain of os.scoble.me, already have infra for DNS/SSL)

Storj setup checklist

Already researched during 2026-04-27 session — refer to Storj infra notes:

  • Setup checklist
  • DNS config (CNAME or A record to Storj gateway)
  • CLI tools (uplink CLI)
  • Static site hosting bucket

Tasks

  • Set up Storj bucket for static site hosting
  • Configure CNAME/subdomain at os.scoble.me DNS
  • Set up Static Site Hosting on Storj bucket
  • Configure SSL (Storj gateway or Cloudflare proxy)
  • Build Astro site with static output: output: 'static'
  • Write deploy script: astro build -> uplink cp -> Storj bucket
  • Test end-to-end: build -> upload -> browse

Acceptance

  • Site accessible at scott.scoble.me
  • SSL working (https)
  • Deploy script works (manual for MVP, automate later)
  • DNS propagated
